Evaluation for Bollywood and Line Dancing

Bollywood
our overall Bollywood performance had gone extremely well as we had out great effort as an overall group. We stayed in time and we were all performing good. In this performance the only criticism i would give would be that the performance could have been done more enthusiactically, but overall the peformance done was really good as we all put a lot of effort in the routine and it showed in our final performace.
My individual performance was okay, i was in time, in costume and i had put effort in. However i could have been better with my facial expressions and put a bit more effort in it.

Line Dancing
on this final performace it was not as good as our bollywood performace. I think it was possibly because we werent as focussed and continuously got distrascted. This affectd us in a bad way as the final performance wasnt the best and we had messed around. The good things were that we were in time, when we were focussed, we were in good costume and attempted to put as much effort as we could, which wasnt much.
Though that performance could be improved, by us foucussing and putting more effort into the routine, this overall dance was not as good as our Bollywood, but was not extremely terrible either.
My individual performance was not that good as i was also distracted and needed to put more effort into the dance, though i did remember all the moves and was in time, i needed to put more effort and enthusiasm into the final performance.

Line Dancing lesson 5

This lesson was our dress rehearsal. We all brought in our checked shirts and scarves and appropriate trousers. The only thing we were missing were cowboy hats, but as we had one we shared it between us, swapping it around as we would need it for the routine.
We put the music on and had practised and practised so that everyone knew what to do for the actual performance next lesson.
We performed it in front other teachers again and had gotten some of the same constructive criticisms again such as we weren’t putting enough effort in the performance, and also that we need to make the performance effortless and fun instead of boring and normal.
Once we had taken this all into account, we practised for the rest of the lesson so that we would be ready for the of the line dancing routine.

Line Dancing lesson 4

On this lesson we had completed our routine, but still needed to practice. Whilst we were practising our routine, Miss Hainstock had made us add in little cowboy comments by telling some of us to shout out the next step or when to change. At the beginning people were messing up as it was slightly confusing, but then we all got the hang of it and then started to get it right.

Just to make sure we were doing this right, we performed our overall routine to a couple of other teachers, and then heard both good things and bad things about the performance.
Good: everyone knows their routine.
Everyone is in time.
Everyone is concentrating.
Constructive criticism: Not enough effort.
Need to look happier and less bored.
Need to focus a little more, as a few of us messed up, or laughed.
Need to make the dance routine look more fun.
At the end of our lesson we all gathered round and discussed what we could do to improve for our next lesson which was the dress rehearsal. We had decided on what clothing we would bring in and what shoes and other things that we would need for our next lesson.

Line Dancing lesson 3

On this lesson, we had already had some line dancing moves in our routine, some of which were called, grape vineand the tush push, also the box step. These moves where added in this lesson when we started to put our routine together to the Michael Jackson song Beat it.

Once we had done this we practised continuously so that the routine would stick in our head.

Line Dancing lesson 2

On our second lesson of line dancing, we practised our first move then we gathered around and then we had come up with initial ideas to what music we were going to do, and then we had decided to dance to Michael Jackson Beat It. The upbeat tune was good to keep us moving.

After we had chosen it, we went off and researched some specific moves on our own, which we then had to show everyone and performed it to the class. We had to present our move, demonstrate it and then tell the class what it was called and how we did it. From that we picked and made up some of our own moves.
